ARNEC has formally adopted a Child Safeguarding Policy Framework. It reflects ARNEC’s commitment to zero tolerance for any form of harm, abuse, exploitation, or neglect of children, and provides clear guidance for preventing, identifying, reporting, and responding to safeguarding concerns. The Framework also ensures that safeguarding is meaningfully embedded across ARNEC’s activities, partnerships, and organisational culture.

The approved Framework includes the following key components:

2. Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment Policy
3. Whistleblowing Policy
4. Child Safeguarding Code of Conduct
5. Reporting and response procedures
6. Risk assessment and mitigation guidance
7. Safe recruitment, communication, programming, and event checklists
8. Other practical tools and templates to support implementation
