Children need to be placed at the centre of policy development and planning to address climate change and environmental degradation. Having a child-centred focus means understanding their needs differentiated across developmental ages or stages using the Nurturing Care Framework and making these count in national resilience plans and programs.

While young children are often referred to as the most vulnerable community members within the climate change and environmental degradation context, such framing needs to change with emphasis shifting to seeing children as our most valuable community members. Read more
