The ‘Ha Noi Call to Action’ was the final output of the 2019 Asia-Pacific Regional Conference on ECD in Viet Nam on 4-6 December containing the priority measures to promote sustainable and nurturing environments for young children.

About 600 policy makers, experts, practitioners, advocates and partners participated in the small group discussions on the second day of the regional conference to provide inputs to the Ha Noi Call to Action. Dr. Sheldon Shaeffer, Chair of the ARNEC Board of Directors, read the Ha Noi Call to Action during the closing programme and presented a copy to some Vietnamese children, a symbolic gesture of ARNEC’s commitment to broaden multisectoral support for sustainable environments, nurturing care, and ECD in the region.
