ARNEC facilitates GISP webinars on parenting

  • Advocacy : Responsive Caregiving and Playful Parenting

ARNEC was the lead facilitator for the webinar series on evidence-based parenting in collaboration with the Global Initiative to Support Parents (GISP), a coalition composed of WHO, UNICEF, Parenting for Lifelong Health (PLH), the Early Childhood Development Action Network (ECDAN), and the Global Partnership to End Violence Against Children (EVAC). The GISP webinar series in November and December 2022 was a follow-through activity after the Asia Convening in Delhi in October, which is part of the iterative process of the GISP to generate evidence and inputs in preparation for the Global Convening in 2023. GISP selected eight programs for the webinar series based on the quality of evidence in support of parenting and caregiving, one of which was the Prescription to Play (P2P) Project implemented by the Save the Children Country Office and the Ministry of Health in Bhutan with the support of The LEGO Foundation.
